In 1968 Ambrogio Fantini founded a mechanical laboratory in North of Italy. The laboratory was specialized in the manufacturing and distribution of corn harvesting headers.

In 1984, Fantini broadened the product range by introducing a new product: the sunflower header.

With the participation of Alberto Fantini, son of the founder, the business underwent further development characterized by the use of new technology and the introduction of mechanized and innovative machinery. These factors contributed to a huge increase in exports.

In 2006, a branch was established in Le Centre, Minnesota under the name of FANTINI NORTH AMERICA, with the aim to meet the increasing demands of products in the US.
